Out of high school, I attended Eastern Michigan University for a year. I returned home to go to UofM Flint after my parents offered to pay all of my bills/expenses if I'd move home. Couldn't turn that one down! I worked a few jobs and ended up at PPG in Flint, where I met my boss and soon to be husband, Lynn. We began dating, and I left PPG to go to the Flint Police Academy. I graduated from the Academy and had my first police assignment - directing traffic on the 4th of July, 1994, in downtown Flint. Lynn and I continued dating while I was in the Academy and in 1995, we were married. We now have three kids, Maria - 11, Rebecca - 8 and Joshua - 6. They attend Grand Blanc schools, just like mom did! I have continued working for the Flint Police Department, and will soon start my fifteenth year! Wow! It's hard to believe it's been that long! I am presently assigned to third shift patrol, which keeps me busy.
