Life
Let's see, after high school I had a few odds and ends jobs then I joined the Marine Corps on a whim.
Went to basic, spent a year in Okinawa Japan, a couple of months in Thailand then was stationed for remainder of my time in at Camp Lejeune, N.C. I met my husband while in and had our son the last year of my career. I didn't reup due to knee and back and complications. I loved my time and would have been happy to be a lifer.
After the corps we moved to NJ for a couple of months until my husband found a good job then we moved to the Poconos and have lived here ever since. Going on about 12 years ...Expand for more
now. It's a great place, lots of trees and space and wildlife. Though now it's being built up so it's not so quiet anymore.
I stay in touch with my close friends from school. I am a stay at home mom. I did electricity in the corps but never persued it after. My son is in school full time now so I spend alot of time on house repairs/remodeling, hobbies, time with friends here, scouts. I was the commitee chair for my son's Cub Scout pack. I am currently on the committee of my Son's Boy Scout Troop and am helping with fundraising.
That is basically it. I live for the moment and have a hell of a good time.
