Amy's Story
Life
After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1983, I married fellow classmate Mickey Vickers. We had 2 children, and divorced in 1992. I taught math at Spring Lake Junior High from 1983-1989, and 1st grade at Lynbrook Elementary School in Springfield, Virginia from 1995-1997. I remarried in 1994 to Rock Schmidt, who was in the Army. We have since been stationed at Carlisle, PA, the Pentagon, Fort Bragg, and Heidelberg, Germany. enior this year - she'll graduate in June 2006. I just started on my Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling, so we'll probably stay here until 2007 so I can finish that degree. My older daughter, Lindsay, is in college at Columbia College Hollywood, majoring in film and television production. She just finished a season as a production assistant on America's Next Top Model, and she is currently doing an internship on Will and Grace for school credit. She went to UNC-Chapel Hill her freshman year and absolutely hated it. Oh well. Whitney is thinking about going to ECU next year.
