Amy's Story

Life I've been living in Sugar Hill (Gwinnett county for three years). I've been married for 22 years to Robert Naddra. We met working at a newspaper together. We have three daughters, Alex, 16; Kelsey, 13 and Bethany 10. All brown hair, brown eyes and favor my husband's Greek side of the family. We have lived in Georgia our entire lives including Augusta, Fayetteville and McDonough and Gwinnett County. We made a major move to live at the beach in Naples, Florida. Only stayed 10 months - not our style of place! Beautiful area, but the people were not friendly. Too expensive. Alex is in the drama program at North Gwinnett High School and will be a junior this year. She is learning to drive! She loves the Jonas Brothers and is an excellent writer like her dad. Kelsey is an honor student at Lanier Middle School, and loves math and playing violin. Bethany is very outgoing, smart and loves reading, drawing, dancing and singing. I worked for 15 years as a graphic artist. Robert was an editor at a daily newspaper and has written sports for the Atlanta paper for nearly 15 years. We're members of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Cumming, GA. We spend most of our time with our family. My mom lives in McDonough, GA ...Expand for more
and so does my sister. I have two brothers. My sister just so happens to live next door to Daniel Delair. We're always planning trips to "Grandma's" house. The best thing in my life is my faith and family. The biggest thing that has changed my life is both my parents battling cancer. My mom is a survivor of multiple myeloma (blood-cancer) and my dad died from kidney cancer. I am still best friends with Sharon McDaniel (Jones) and we live just 20 minutes from each other. We're still as silly and crazy as we were in school. School I have great memories of Morrow High School, but really only keep in touch with one friend, Sharon McDaniel Jones. I used to see Becky Bishop (Neal) some when I lived in Fayette. My favorite teacher was Coach Mike Creasman and my least favorite was Dr. Harris. She freaked me out. I joined the Drama Club just to get out of her homeroom. I regret making fun of Mike Dorough, choir director, because he later played the organ for my wedding. I worked at my parents print shop all through high school; that was when we got let out at 12:00 noon. I went to Clayton State on a scholarship for 3 years and received an Associates in Art. I wished I had gone to Emory or a bigger school like Georgia.
