Amy's Story
Life
After graduation from Wink High School I attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. I graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hydrology & Water Resources. After college, I moved to Fort Worth, TX and went to work for Freese & Nichols, a private consulting engineering firm. I really enjoyed my single life in Fort Worth and was very active in my single's group at church. I did alot of traveling. In 1995, I went on a mission to Kenya for almost 3 weeks. I took a tour of Italy, going on my own & meeting up with a tour group when I got there. In 1996, I met Mitch Kaarlela. We were married in Oct 1997. I "retired" from my engineering nine years, when our first daughter, Beth, was born in May 2001. I've been a stay-at-home mom since then. Our second daughter, Jill, was born in Oct 2002. I enjoy being at home with my girls. I'm involved in several Moms groups which helps keep me sane. We are very involved in our church, Wedgwood Baptist in Fort Worth. I'm also a Creative Memories consultant (I help people create scrapbook photo albums).
