Amy's Story

Life Life is pretty good here in colorado but I miss NY like crazy. People here are way too nice and way too healthy. No good Italian food either and no one whose last name ends in ski :) I keep waiting to hear about a reunion .. can't wait to see everyone and catch up. I try to get to Buffalo at least once a year to visit family. Always a bonus if that visit happens during the Bills season. I miss going to games and tail gating. I hate the Bronco's, people here don't know what real football is. Not too hard to go to a game when it's sunny and the temp is in the 60's ... At least they have great skiing conditions. I have a daughter who I'm thinking will be an only child. My pregnancy with her was terrible .. I threw up from the first until the last day. Also had some issues with my pelvis separating so I couldn't walk very well. Pretty comical to think back on it now but it wasn't so funny then. My husband and I met in 1993 at TGI Fridays in ALbany. He was my trainer when I started working there and the rest is history. We lived together for 10 years before making it official in 2003. I still use Sciangula legally and always will ... it really ticks him off but I love my last name. I'm on this site as a freebe so I can't see who has visited my profile or left me a message. You have to be tricky when you try and put contact information in here or it blocks your profile. I've tried a bunch of different combinations but here goes: you can reach me at Amylynn (my actual full name) 2024 (the address of my first apartment) at (you know the symbol it should be) hot followed by the word mail (so sad you have to spell this out like that) p...Expand for more
eriod (use the symbol) and finally com. Hope that works because I'd love to hear from some folks. I also just got on my space and will have to be equally creative to direct people to that site. My Url is my followed by space (all one word) period (use the symbol) followed by a back slash and then my full name with no spaces (amy sciangula), remember use no spaces :) School I really partied too much ... would do it all over again in a heart beat but this time: * I would join a sport and be serious about it * I would not skip so many days * I would become fluent in spanish * I would not have dated most of the guys that I went out with * I would enjoy every single minute College I worked way too much .. if I could do it over again: * I would have had more fun and not taken everything so seriously * I would have dated a lot more * I would have chosen a different major / degree Workplace I've been a social worker since 1992 . . not sure how I fell into this line of work though. Started out as a child protection worker and now I write home studies for people that want to adopt through the county. A lot less stressful and much less dangerous. I work in a unit that allows us to work from our houses and set our own hours. They really don't care when or where you work, just as long as you get it done within 40 hours a week. It's pretty nice having that freedom but I miss the office relationships. Maybe once my daughter is older and doesn't have so many ear infections I can return to the 9-5 grind. I would love to go back to school for nursing but time and funds won't allow that right now. Military Never in a million years !!!!!!!
