Anders's Story
Went back to Sweden 1976, but never left Modesto and the US.
Thank you for voting in the November elections 2020. I have lost friends while fighting to protect the right to vote and express an opinion in a free election. That will always matter.
Joined the Swedish Army, Rangers in the Arctic, and just kept on skiing for a lot of days and nights..... That answered most questions in life.
Spent four tours in AFG as an adviser together with AFG Army and US Army.
That gave you all you need to know about man and morale. And where not to put your money. Met contractors that looked like Special Forces and Special Forces that looked like contractors.

Have only had Volvos, but love to drive fast wheels and convertibles. True.! However got an offer I could not refuse so my new car is a Toyota C-HR. A crazy blue one.
Now I am living with my family in the very north of Sweden, close to the Arctic Circle.
Did not retire after my command of Lappland Ranger Training Detachment in Kiruna, Kept on as Head of Training and Exercises in Regional Command North in my hometown of Boden. Now I do work with the Army expansion, new units and regiments.
The only remaining question in life is still ....
- is it A- or B-day?
It doesn't matter really- north of the Arctic Circle- it is always either-or;-))
