Erik's Story
Life
I think I was best described as the school weird kid. I was never in trouble but I cut class constantly and did not focus on school work unless I wanted to. I had very few people I counted as friends and most of them were through the boy scouts hiking group.
I left Balboa middle school and ended up transferring full time to Ventura College after a few test and paper work confirmed that I was not stupid, just lazy and under motivated. I discovered I loved college life and college aged women and from then on I was addicted.
I studied Computers and computer science with a minor in physics. This lead to me working on the local security base for the DOD during the summers and eventually working in Sa...Expand for more
nta Barbra on the ARPANET project and helped shut down and convert to the Internet. Worked on X Windows project.
At age 18 I moved out of the are to the Northwest and picked up a job for Cray Super computing. Worked there a for a few years and then went of to work as a consultant at Microsoft.
I then returned to California to work a few start ups in the silicon valley, the largest was Excite (at) home were I worked on the original Cable modem designs. Others of note were WebEx communications and RSA Security. I have been in executive management for a few years now. Most recently I've returned to doing startups.
On a personal note I am an avid Fencer and have also been studying Aikido for 6 years.
