Andre's Story
Hi Classmates, and fellow Marines,
I retired from active duty after 20 years and 3 months. I loved it. There's nothing like serving and being with the best. It sure is a long way from East High, 1986. Hi to all fellow upstate New Yorkers,Floridians and East High School grads. Here's my story so far.
I work hard and earn what I'm blessed with, and lead a great life so far but since I don't get out to reunions to often I thought this would be a great way to connect with my old classmates.
I'm a happy father. I spent over half of my career overseas in Japan (Oki and Iwakuni and Korea) the rest at war in the first gulf war and in the Iraq war then stateside at Camp Lejuene, Quantico, and Camp Pendleton. If you're ever in Japan look me up.
I live overseas in Japan currently but when time permits I go back home to America to enjoy family and spend time....Expand for more
I thought this site would be a good idea... Though I don't like putting my life on the internet, I can always make new friends too so I'll give it a try just to establish contact with my friends. Drop me a line if know each other, or even if we had the sames environs in the past.
Communications Platoon Marines, especially Radio dawgs (battery operated grunts) I would love to hear from you. Anyone that was in any of my units/platoons/companies or shops.
It's a new year and which brings new motivation and energy. I pray for those defending the freedoms others take for granted. The vets that are overlooked, and quickly forgotten after the 5% discounts and yellow ribbons. Those who fought at home and abroad so others could be free.
In life when handed lemons, I just make lemonade, and the whole table enjoyable.
Peace and with God all things are possible.
