Andrea's Story
My profile update: I am single, unencumbered and never had any kids of my own. I live in sunny (who are they kidding? It rains here all the time!) South Florida, just five miles from the beach. In 2008 I relocating here from my previous home of nearly 20 years in Scottsdale, AZ. This long time cowgirl decided to trade in her snake boots and rodeo hat, for beach sandals and a wet suit... and it turned out to be a great move.
Florida is my home now, but there truly is a thing to be said about the 'dry heat' of Arizona which I loved and miss. Except for the humidity (Yes it can be horrible at times!), I am very happy here.. I have met many wonderful friends and I get to spend more time with my parents than I did in the past, because they live here too. I settled in nicely and now call Florida my home.
Through the years not a whole lot has changed drastically in my life, except for the places that I have lived. I still have most of the same hobbies and interests as I did when I was in high school... yes, really! I still love motorcycles (I own a 1986 Harley Sportster), guns & shooting, muscle cars, antiques, boating,...Expand for more
collectibles and riding horses. I also enjoy reading, movies, drawing & painting, adventure and travel.
I work as an Engineering Information Specialist at an electro/mechanical manufacturing company. I do product/assembly drafting with AutoCAD and Solidworks, create production work instructions, maintain databases, create/update A-Specs and M-specs and create/update BOMs in SAP. I still remember fondly my days in drafting class in high school and how much I enjoyed them. I see now that it helped me get to where I am today... working at a job that I love and doing what I thought I might be good at... even though I made that decision way back when I was only 15 years old. Life is good!
I wish you all much happiness with your own lives... Where ever you are and what ever you are doing. (2013)
"The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have many promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep."
~by Robert Frost
I always wanted to be an artist of sorts when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a a great idea. As it turns out, they were right..
