Glaydin years were the worst of my life, not because of the school, but the private demons hunting me during these years. Glaydin taught me to love learning. After finishing high school I joined the Navy and was one of the first enlisted women to serve on sea duty. At the time I thought that I was doing it to make it easier for the next generation of women to work in non traditional jobs, little did I imagine then that my own daughter would benefit from my serve. I am very proud of my daughter, who served in Iraq and just came back from West Africa while serving in the Army. I raised 3 kids, and currently have 4 grandkids. I went back to college after the youngest of my children reached school age. I majored in history and even tried law school, but hated the idea of practicing law, so I quit and earned a Masters Degree in teaching.
