September 30, 2008 Well, I thought I should update my life story but didn't want to completely delete the old one. lol. Let's see... where to start. Well, I finished my degree at Strayer University finally... in December 2007 I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Security. Yes, it was originally Networking but I changed it because I didn't think Networking was for me. So now I've finally achieved the BS degree I wanted and I've got the student loans to prove it. :) I haven't figured out what I want to do with it yet, but this year has been really tough for Chris and I so I've figured it won't hurt me to wait on worrying about it for awhile. I was working at First Data until November 2007 when I went out on medical leave... I was having trouble walking and by Thanksgiving weekend I was wheelchair bound and couldn't hardly walk at all. In February 2008 the doctors finally figured out what the problem was and I had back surgery done to remove a herniated disc and bone spur from my upper spine. Since the surgery I've been making great progress... I can walk again although not for long and I still need a walker to help me some. First Data let me go in June/July 2008 because I'd been out so long, but it's ok because I probably wouldn't have gone back there anyway. I get disability for the time being and I'm trying to find a job to work from home, since I don't feel quite ready yet to work outside the home again.
