Andrea's Story

Born In Santa Monica, CA. Attended Westminster Elementary in Venice, CA; Lincoln Jr High in Santa Monica, CA; Soph and Jr year at Glendbard East HS in Lombard, Illinois (lived in Glendale Heights when it was first being developed); then Sr. year at Bloomfield HS in Bloomfield, NJ. Graduated in '66. After than, worked days at Hahne & Company in Montclair NJ and attended the American Acadamy of Dramatic Arts in NYC evenings for 2 years. That is where I met the love of my life. He moved to CA and I ran away from home (literally) to be with him AND to go "home".. Married, had 3 children (1st daughter in '69, then son 16 months later in '71, and finally 6 years after that my second daughter in '77), now grown - but have reaped only one grandchild (a boy named Bryce, and I am thoroughly enjoying my role as his Gramma!). to be for 5 years max, but turned into 13 before finally escaping (with my family) back to Southern California. At that point, got back into theatre and acting. Did a lot of theatre, some non-union films, a couple of bit parts on soaps and then my life changed into a soap opera - which I will not spend time recapping! ;) Still married to my guy. Took a break from theatre after burying my father-in-law, my mother, my dad and my best friend in an 11 month period ('97-'98). Just about ready to go back again. Grew up with cats, but in 1991 got my first dog (Maltese - 10 lb, not teacup, and my dogs have been one of the greatest blessings in my life! My other passion - computers. I was on the internet in 1994. I became IT manager and system admin for my husbands mortgage company. Happily, I trained someone else to replace my as Loan Service Manager and am mostly retired, unless the network goes nuts!
