Life
My wife, Lorna and I have celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary. June 22, 1985-June 22, 2022. Celebrate with us!!
Workplace
We lived in Japan working with the Christian Church there for over 20 years. We moved up to Ishonomaki, Japan after the triple disaster of and earthquake, tsunami and nuclear reactor breakdown. We did relief work and heart care by setting up places for people to get a hot meal and a place to be given a listening ear. We also started a social enterprise in the next small town, Onagawa. kimono material to make new products which gave work to needy families who had lost so much from the tsunami. We were able to do this for 10 years before the need was no longer present. The churches started as a result of these various ministries remain as a beacon of Christ's light into the communities.
We returned to US to be near Lorna's mom who has now turned 91 and needs our presence to be nearby. Our ministry remains to mentor our Japanese coworkers as well as give member care to missionaries in Japan and in our Crisis Response team in US.
