Andrew's Story
Life
Hi and long time to those of you who knew me back then. I was in the clothing business for about 8 years during and after high school and then did a complete 180 going to work for ITT World Communications. During that time, I attended night school at NYU and received my A.A.S. in Accounting and Computer Science. I also played drums semi-professionally until I was about 25. Boy, as I write this it seems like yesterday. By chance one day I was asked if I wanted to make some extra money working at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. hand business. in 1990, I moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and got introduced to the right people in the union down in Miami. 17 years later I am still a union stagehand. I am the lead audio-visual technician at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Plenty of perks to the job like the Super Bowl that just passed . I ran a spotlight for the halftime show. I own a house in Staten Island so I get up as much as possible. If anyone does remeber me, I would be pleased to receive some e-mail or even catch up with you on one of ny trips up to NY.
