Andy's Story
Life
I'm not sure how many people remember me. I moved to Northern California at the beginning of my senior year. Joined the Air Force in May of 1973. Was stationed in Northern Cal, then Greece, Northern Cal again then Germany. Got married just before going to Germany. Got divorced just after returning from Germany. I left the Air Force and lived in northern Cal working for the Air Force on Radar and Sattelite Command and Control Systems from 1980 to 1993 Married my current wife, Sue in 1983. moved to Ogden Utah in 1993, still working for the Air Force doing Evaluation of Long Range and Drug Interdiction Radars. Tacoma). I still live in Gig Harbor, but also a beach house on the Oregon coast and a condo in the Cayman Islands. Well, I retired is September of 2010 and moved to Auburn, California near the kids and their kids. I spend a lot of time tinkering, remodeling and in the yard. Whenever I get a chance I go up into the gold country and do some gold panning or sluicing.
Well I got tired of the California Government insanity and the fires. It's just not right to have to keep your doors and windows closed all summer because the smoke is so bad all summer.
We moved to Biloxi, Mississippi in March of 2022. Yes they get Hurricanes, but they are actually rare, kind of like California earthquakes.
Love it here. You get a lot more for your money here. No State income tax for Seniors.
