After graduation from YV I went to Texas A&M University and got my Masters in Architecture. I worked for Morris Architects in Houston for 29 years 8 months attaining the position of Associate Principal/Sr. Project Manager. I left Morris and went to work for Gensler, one of the largest architecture firms in the world. I stayed only 3 years because Rice University called and wanted me to work on their new Tennis Center and Opera Theater Building as Project Manager, I had worked on campus when working for Morris Architects so they were familiar with me and my theater experience as an architect. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I enjoyed my time at Rice but decided to retire after the Opera Theater project completed its Schematic Design. That was pretty much my professional career but I worked on many unique and exciting projects which also allowed me to travel around the US and to Europe as part of my duties. Personally I got married after graduating from A&M in 1982 and have had three children. My first, also a Texas A&M graduate who is now 33, lives in Calgary, Alberta Canada. He's a Child Developmental Specialist along with his wife who got him to relocate to Calgary.. On the bright side, we've been able to visit him quite a bit since retiring and its only a short jaunt up to Banff/Lake Louise where I can still hit some of the best ski slopes on earth (with a little less abandon than I used to up at Lake Tahoe).
