Angela's Story
Hi everyone,
I just joined classmates and hoping to touch base with some of my old friends. After highschool I continued my education and went into nursing. I obtained my LPN degree and worked at Martinsville Hospital for a couple of years while continuing to work towards my RN degree. I moved to Wilmington, NC in 1994 (where I currently still reside). I finished school here in Wilmington and got my RN degree in 1998. I worked in the hospital and doctor's offices (Internal Medicine, family practice and pediatrics) throughout my nursing career and then finally started working at PPD, Inc. (one of the world's largest Clinical Research Organization's- ppdi.com). I worked my way up the corporate ladder and I'm currently a Pharmacovigilance Manager. I mainly deal with 'safety' for clinical drug trial studies. Without going into detail, I have to say I am a proud Breast Cancer survivor (almost 6 years now). experience that I wish no one has to go through. I will skip to my second marriage, as my first is not worth mentioning. I got married to a wonderful guy named George (basically he is a Tiger Woods look alike) in 2002. We had our first daughter (Jaden Casey) in June 2003 and then our second daughter (Jace Carly) in September 2006. Our family is now complete. My husband is a pharmaceutical representative for Takeda, so we our very compatible with our career fields. Our oldest daughter just started kindergarten last week (July 2008- it's a year round elite school) and our family dynamics and schedule sure has changed. My oldest daughter is working towards her 3 year dancing career in tap and ballet. My days consist of taking care of my two girls, loving husband, and dealing with my busy work schedule. We are blessed with a wonderful family, home, friends and careers. I hope all is well and you all are living a wonderful life as I am.
