Angela's Story
Hi,
Yeah it's me Angela Hackett.
Since I left Taft, I started working full time in sales and moved out of my Mother's and into my own apt. at age seventeen with who is now my ex-husband. I stayed in Jefferson Park where I grew up. In 1897 I got married and bought a townhouse in Des Plaines, I was now working at a second Mortgage Company here in the Chicago and was the Asst Supervisor of the Data Processing Dept. I then got a new job closer to home in Des Plaines at The First National Bank of Des Plaines and worked in the Operations Dept. for the Senior Vice President of the bank as an Operations Asst./System Admin. I then went to trade school to get my cert. in system admin. paid for by the bank.
I then became pregnant with my first daughter Sarah, who is now twenty yrs. old, and was mostly raised by her father and his new wife after a very long and expensive custody ...Expand for more
battle, then I left my career to be a fulltime mom. Disaster! Sold the house, moved across the street from my mom's in a apt. across the street where I grew up, got a divorce, had a nervous breakdown after moving back home with my mother, went homeless periodically! Ha. not funny.
After being hospitalized numorous times I once again picked my life up, and moved to Rosemont, where my daughter and I lived for several years.
To make a long story short, nine years later living in Mayfair Park, I became pregnant with my second daughter Lily, who is now eleven yrs. old. I chose not to marry her father, so I raised her for ten years by myself, I just recently gave her father residential custody, do to the hard economic times.
I still live in Chicago, in Jefferson Park and have a nice two bedroom apt. and am just like everyone else today trying to survive but still have fun!
