Sandra's Story

Teaching Kindergarten with the Ventura USD since 1993. Before that, taught in Moreno Valley, Victorville, and San Bernardino. How time flies, have been teaching for 25 plus years. Ventura is a lovely place to live, good walking spots, good coffee houses, great weather, and husband's family is close by. I am a poodle mom to winslow. Enjoy spending time with nephews and driving up the coast to Cambria, Ca. Taking art classes in Santa Barbara, my interest in art has always been there. My artist friend Joni is a great teacher of teachers and of the many art forms I enjoy. Grew up in Hesperia and Victorville, and best friend Angie is living there, and relatives as well. Wrote a poem for my dad about Victorville, hope he still has it, he never commented on it. I drive all over my town in my favorite car, my mustang. I use to be love2tch1, now that i am in kinder, my plates read something else, something about ART. Victorville has grown so much, and is a very busy city, last time I visited. Hello to all in Victorville, which was actually a good place to grow up.... I always wanted to be a fashion designer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a cute idea. As it turns out, they were somewhat correct, and I can at least mix and match and add splashes of color to my clothes. My husband has a name for all my outfits, teacher names at the least.. going to work somewhere, I need to have friends who understand, my ideas, and underrstand education to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My mom. of xourse. Think about her everyday. Too bad I did not listen to her when I was younger, and when she was alive. She had great stories and was so smart. little poodles and art art art. My biggest surprise in life...well, I should have taken my mom's advice when she offered it. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my home office and add on a art studio. My dream home would be Cambria, ca. No kids, but if you observe your dog, oh my, one can learn alot from our four legged friends. They love, no matter what. If I won $100 million, I'd give portions of it to animal groups, then spend the rest on savings, st. jude hospital and computers for our kinder classes, and other foundations.. My current age is 51 OMG. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be kind of old. I was so completely wrong. Teach art... Oh, I love fashion. I like to still wear short dresses, jeans, peace sign shirts, bright colors. Styles always come back. I see fashions in the stores that I had back in junior high school. I share my home with hubbie and poodle, which I find so great.... In 10 years, I hope to be retired. I'm going to get there by 2019 i hope. Angie, from Victorville, we have been friends since babies, really, babies.. when the fair came to town
