Angela's Story
Life
After graduation from Meyers, I attended Penn State University and received my Associate's degree in Civil Engineering. From there I attended Wilkes College and received my Bachelor of Science in Earth and Environmental Science. Following graduation, I got married, and moved to New York where I got my teaching certification in Earth Science and Biology and taught for 5 years in a middle school. In the mean time, the reason I moved to NY went south and in 1992, I moved to San Diego and taught high school bio, and human anatomy and physiology for two years. and the politics and opted out. I decided to return to my first love, architecture and began my course work at Southwestern College and worked for the city of Chula Vista on ADA renovations. I am currently in Rhode Island where I graduated from Roger Williams University with a Bachelor of Architecture in May of 2002. I currently am employed by an architecture firm here in Newport.
Workplace
Having changed my career 5 years ago from teaching to architecture, I was very fortunate to be hired at my current firm less than a month following graduation. We do renovation work, new construction and historical preservation.
