Angela's Story
Where to begin? I was not all that into studying when I was at Gahr... who would've ever guessed I would have turned out to be a high school teacher myself! Of course quite a bit has happened since high school. I'm still married to my high school sweetheart, Steve. He and I have two really cool kids, a girl (she just started middle school... yikes!) and a boy (4th grader who loves baseball). I spent eleven years working for the phone company and decided it wasn't what I wanted to do when I grew up. So, about 6 years...Expand for more
ago I decided to return to college, finish, and work towards a teaching credential. This is my 4th year teaching history at a high school in Riverside, and despite the challenges of working with teenagers, I love my job. In my spare time I'm pretty much hanging with the family. We keep a pretty busy sports schedule, but in between I try to find time to read (usually about history), exercise, go camping, and relax at home. My parents still live in the same house, so I do get to visit the old neighborhood occasionally.
