"Well life changes sometimes when you least expect it.. “
I currently still own and work as a Hair and Makeup Artist for Platinum Imagination Hair and Makeup here in South Dakota for 15 years now. I do a variety of hair and makeup for Weddings, Book Covers, TV /Video, Film, photo shoots, ect. I love what I do! Weddings especially! :)
Due to unexpected sudden life changes in 2020, I find myself on a new very different adventure with my 2 adult daughters.. loving life and rolling with what life brings me. I miss Texas, my home and that is where my heart and immediate family will always be. Maybe one day, I will come home to stay.
Although family is not always blood, and I thank the Lord He gave me such wonderful “family” here..I feel so blessed to have such a beautiful tribe around me here. Amazing souls ❤️

4-13-07- Haha Me again, just another update on what I am doing now..Still in South Dakota, still wish I was back in good ole TX! Things here are still about the same with some good changes. We still live on the mini farm but no more chickens for now, and just 4 dogs, 3 cats. My girls are growing up to be beautiful young ladies but as always too fast. Michael and I started our own Furniture company back in 04. He still works full time for Wells Fargo but is trying to transition to our furniture business. We build signature one of a kind pieces (fireplace mantels, hall trees, mirrors) but we also do the fun stuff (birdhouses, toliet tissue holders, window boxes). In addtion to that I finally went back to work in the hairdressing industry. I started my own business in Oct 06, Platinum Imagination Hair and Makeup here in Sioux Falls. I specialize in Wedding and Special Occasion hair and makeup. It is changing here (thankfully) in the Sioux Falls area to a more metro urban lifestyle. I am hoping that I caught the wave so to speak and that the Midwestern ladies decide that dressing up and being glamourous can be fun. I have do say that I am holding my own and have been advertising on the radio. So all in all, it is pretty cool. If you want, check out my web site at platinumimagination dot com. e only have just a little bit on our plate here....haha Oh yes and I still run the Sioux Falls Adult Soccer Leagues here and still play faithfully! Love Soccer!! =)
In addition to all of the above, My mom is coming to live with us here. My stepfather suddenly and sadly passed away in Dec. 06 and it just made more sense to have her come here and share our acreage wtih her horses, dogs.. haha we will have a regular zoo. Anyhow, it will be wonderful to have family here with us and we are all very excited to have her here. Well, that is about all for now and love to hear from everyone from Keller High!!!
Previous entry- 4-18-04. It's been a long while since I entered that above bio. Just a quick update.. I am still in South Dakota with my husband, Michael and girls. We live in a little farm house on 10 acres in the middle of corn fields. We have 20 chickens, barn cats, 2 dogs, 2 inside cats, and 3 fish. I have learned that I am a CITY person and not a country person. I deal with the country but have to have my city fix a least once a week. I am still a stay-at-home mom but I have expanded my horizons as my youngest has gotten older. I now volunteer as a U12 girls Soccer League Commissioner, I am on the Sioux Falls Soccer Board of Directors, and I am Co-Director of the Sioux Falls Adult Co-Ed Soccer League. And yes, I still play soccer as much as I can! =)I also still do hairdressing on the side but not professionally back in a salon yet. I mystery shop as well as volunteer at my church and daughter's school. My life in South Dakota is radically different than I would have ever imagined. Life takes you on one path and then can up end you on the next. I still love Texas immensely and would move back in a heartbeat! =) But South Dakota is still home for now.
First Entry- WEll. I was a full time hairdresser at Spa Atelier in Las Colinas and lived in Texas up untill July of 99'. Then my wonderful husband Michael,daughter 4 year old Callista Renee, and I moved to South Dakota!! We had an another beautiful baby girl in September 99'(Samantha Daelyn), and I became a full time mom. I love our changes that we have made and the challenges that we have over come. It is a wonderful place to live at. BUT, I will always be a Texan at heart!!! It will always be home. Can't believe the paths that life takes you.... it can be a wonderful, exhilrating and mysterious experience! Take care everyone and enjoy the warm weather!!!! :-)
