Angelique's Story
Life
I work as a research psychologist in Aberdeen, Maryland, so I'm a long way from Utah. My partner is a school psychologist so we're a couple of crazy shrink types - not really...
My partner and I have a little boy and she's expecting a girl in September. We're drowning in kid stuff right now and I love it!
I'd love to hear from any of you, even if you just knew me in a class or saw me in the halls. I haven't kept in contact with anyone, so it's weird. I love lurking around on the web to see who I know and what they're up to!
For fun, I used to run and play fiddle - who has time now? I still read as much as possible.
A.
School
School didn't really start for me until I graduated high school. I enjoyed my time at South and I had some good friends, but I never really identified with the whole scene. It's okay, there are so many interesting things to do and I've gotten to do a lot of them.
The long trail?
U of U - majored in math education and minored in music ed.

988-1990. I started teaching in 1992 and graduated in 1993. I taught for 3 years, including one year as an adjunct at SLCC. I decided that I was more interested in how the normal brain works than how a high school kid's brain works, and went back to the U for grad school. I got my Master's in 1999 and then moved on to Arizona State for my PhD (with a detour to Kent, Ohio). I've just finished and NO MORE SCHOOL for a while at least! Never mind that everything I do is researching and writing, just like school - I just get paid more. Oh well, I always liked school.
College
Hey, I got a PhD so most of these questions don't really apply. I just finished a year ago and I've been going to school my whole life! In fact, what I do for a living isn't that different than school - if you don't count the military conferences.
Workplace
Up until now I've had jobs that were temporary - means to an end. I've worked as a teacher and a tutor, a professor and a researcher. I like teaching but I love research. It's a good thing.
