Angie's Story
Life
Hi! I married Steve Olson in 1979 (after graduating at Portland State University.) We have 3 great children who are grown up now. Our daughter, Melody (27) got married this January. She is an elementary school teacher. She and her husband Greg are going to Hooper Bay Alaska (Bering Sea) to teach this next year! Our son Mat, is a tool design engineer at Boeing--doing similar work as his Dad. Mat is 25. Dan, is 23 and still lives at home. Currently he is learning glassblowing--he may become a starving artist!
I like to garden, cook and bake, hang out with friends and read. I returned to school in 2...Expand for more
002 and earned my MA in Counseling in 2004. Now, after several years of working at a non-profit agency I have my license too. I still work at the homeless shelter, mostly with children but I also have a private practice seeing adults/teens/children for counseling. Believe it or not, I learned to be quieter and listen better over the years!
Currently, I am learning to work with clay--throwing bowls and such on the wheel. It is so much fun, challenging, and relaxing too.
I often think of Hillsboro and the High School years---seems a long time ago sometimes and in other respects, just yesterday! Angie
