Angie's Story
Can't believe it's time for a 50 year reunion. WAIT! How old am I now...??? YIKES.
I hightailed it to the North Side of Chicago in the early 1970s. Have lived from the Gold Coast to Rogers Park. Currently in Lakeview for the last 38 years.
Worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Hong Kong Government, an attorney, the head of OB/GYN at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and an art gallery. Attended The School of the Art Institute as a non-degree seeking, part-time student. Also worked as a graphic artist for a community newspaper and later the Archdiocese of Chicago. As an artist, I created and sold my cloth one-of-a-kind dolls for twenty years as a member of The Illinois Artisans Program. Before that I repurpos...Expand for more
ed trophy figurines I found at thrift stores and flea markets, turning them into bookends (after I carefully painted and mounted a matching pair to new bases) and they were sold, each set with a vintage book, at shops in New York City, Los Angeles and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.

I have survived breast cancer. I ride my bicycle every single day (never learned to drive)! Quit drinking alcohol two decades ago and it was the BEST decision I ever made. My focus is to live a healthy, happy, creative life and I am blessed to have a supportive, loving husband (of 38 years) who has enabled me to have the wonderful life I have.
