Angie's Story
Life
I was at NTSS for one very long year. Yes, I went against the grain most of the time. I did have a few good friends. Was on the Gym Team. Hum.... I didn't like the Principal of the day. I questioned how could the options offered be true options, when everyone of them included French. This started my year off spending much time in the office. I wanted to go to Central or Western Tech. but dear Mr. P. told me that it was not possible.
Well guess what? After a year of locking horns he did his best to help me move to Western Tech. There I majored in Art.
Next was Georgian College, Barrie. There I received my diploma in Material Arts ( Clay and Glass ). Worked as a potter for a number of years until an elbow injury ended that phase of my life.
During these years I was taking correspondence courses in Horticulture with the University of Guelph and raising two wonderful sons. I succeeded in getting my Master Gardener.
Nearing my 25th year of marriage I came to the realization that this was not where I wanted my life to be. After my divorce,I took back my own last name. I took up Scuba Diving, bought a home of my own. Rented it out to one of my sons and went on an adventure to the west. First to B.C. for 2...Expand for more
months, where I lived in Chilliwack. I went diving with my oldest son in Victoria. Then I was off to Calgary A.B. for a year. Worked as a Assistant mgr. of an upscale Flower Shop in the Kesington area of the city until the owner closed the shop because of illness. Next I Managed a Landscapers Nursery until the call to return to my Granddaughters in Ontario, who I missed very much.
Came back to Ontario and sold my house to my youngest son. Now I am ready to start on my next life adventure. Maybe sky diving. I do want to walk Spain. There is so many places to see and much to do. Life is great! I live by the mantra ... It is better to regret what you have done, then to regret what you never did. My goal is to leave this life skidding to a stop announcing, "Wasn't that great!"
Wish everyone that have touched my life all the best .
Update... Jan. 2008
Well .......... I haven't made it to Spain yet. Still working on the sky diving..... I have taken up ballroom and Latin dancing and prefer the Latin style because it is so much fun. I joined a wonderful singles club where I live. We hike, go to dances, plays, musicals, wine tours and more. They have become a great group of friends. Still enjoying the single life.
