Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect. My biggest surprise has been finding out just how much the little things in life mean to me. I've worked all my life, mostly in administration, but I also have a cosmetology degree and thats a hobby I guess I will never get tired of, I just never had a desire to work at full time, I'd rather be a "Girl Friday". I owned a daycare for 9 years when my girls were growing up, and I still miss being the sole proprietor, and being a teacher and care taker, but after Valaurie was diagnosed with leukemia at 2y/o, I had to close it. We battled that until she was almost 8 y/o, and this past November we had our 5 yr check up with a clean slate. She is now cancer free! Facing this changed mine and Greg's way of living, our views on life, and our hearts. Material things just don't seem to matter when you are faced with losing something that is irreplaceable. I lost Keelee's childhood with this too, because I couldn't be in 2 places at once. But God graced us with friends, love, sincereity and laughter, and 2 beautiful little ladies. At 26 I lost my mom, and at 34 I lost my dad. But I know they were soulmates here for 33 yrs and they are soulmates in heaven. At 30 I met my soulmate, and I married him at 31. We have two daughters, Keelee is 16 and the spitting image of me, with features of momma, and Valaurie is good mixture of Greg and I with some of daddy's features (especially her bottom lip when she's thinking or pouting). Greg, he has a lot of daddy in him too. He's a comedian, a jack of all trades, loves me and and the girls more than life itself, works hard, and plays hard.
