Anita's Story
I left Monrovia in 1968 and joined the Navy. I met my husband at the San Diego Naval Training Center and we married in 1969. (We divorced in 1980). When he finished his Navy service in 1975, we moved to Rochester, MN where he went to work for the Mayo Clinic. After my divorce, in 1986 my daughter and I moved to Phoenix, AZ and lived there for 16 yrs. She married in 1999 and the next year her husband's job transferred him to San Diego. They settled in lovely San Marcos. I moved to San Marcos the following year when my daughter announced she was pregnant. I love San Marcos! I now have two wonderful grandkid...Expand for more
s, Laken and Xander, and live within 2 miles of my daughter, who is my best friend. I have worked as a sales rep in the healthcare industry. After being laid off my last job in Feb 2014, I decided to retire. I volunteer a great deal with my church, Mission Hills Community Church, in San Marcos, and enjoy a much more relaxed lifestyle. I've never been to any of the school reunions and aside from a long-lasting friendship with Linda Hecht-West, I've never kept in tough with high school friends. I was never part of the popular groups and didn't have that many close friends in high school. Sorry fellow Wildcats.
