Anita Cal:  

It's been about twenty-six years since I've stepped foot on Chief Sealth's campus. Since graduating, I got a B.A. from the University of Washington and later became a Los Angeles Times reporter, which first got me enticed by the movie making industry. I worked as a journalist back east for more than a year and left the industry to return to L.A. where I got an M.A. in Screenwriting and delved into the world of Hollywood. I wrote for Tyler Perry's House of Payne and Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns (TBS) as well as NBC's The Chin Chen's comedy. I arrived at Sealth my senior year, although I had friends already, like Suzi Boyd and Jackie Oaks, because I attended Denny Junior High and played JV basketball and Varsity soccer at Sealth my 9th grade year. Well, actually I knew both before then from soccer and community center ball. I was an athlete and a class clown so I guess things came full circle, in that I'm always on the run, and I still like to tell jokes.
