Anita's Story
Life
I was married to John (Scotty) Scottino for 19 years and we have a son & daughter. Unfortunately, Scotty passed away. I am now married to David Rives, a Lancaster, Texas native and between us we have 5 children. We also have 14 grandchildren, 4 great grand sons and another on the way. I retired from Southwestern Bell after 36 years of service in 2006 and now get to enjoy all of my hobbies. I love scrapbooking, gardening, golf, travel, hiking, geocaching, fishing for big reds & my family.
Just catching up...AT&T hired me back for some contract work and I have never been so glad to finish a project! It was fun seeing all the people that I had worked with before retirement. I think I do my best work in my home & around my family. I am really enjoying my life!
Hate that I missed the 50th reunion but we were in the Florida Keys. Nothing as relaxing as a month on the beach!
Update on my life in 2022...The last few years have been a little hard to take in part ...Expand for more
due to all of the Covid mess. Fortunately, our family did not have to suffer from that mess. I pray for all who did not fare as well. Our 4th great grandson was born in May and on that same day my son John was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. He passed away on New Year's Eve and my heart was shattered. He was such a kind, generous and funny young man. At least I know that he is no longer suffering. David & I bought a condo in Rockport on the bay shortly before John went to Heaven. It has been a blessing for us to just get away for a couple of weeks at a time. We have a big loving family to enjoy it with. Life goes on!
It is now 2023 & David & I have relocated to Victoria, Texas. It was so hard to leave the home that we loved for 21 years. We were originally looking for a smaller house on acreage but ended up with a larger home on the golf course and it is only 1 hour from our condo on the coast. It's really hard to beat the relaxation of being on the water.
