Anita's Story
It seems that as I get older, and raise teens, my thoughts turn back to my own formative years in Orange County. Reconnecting with the past has been a lifelong theme in my pastimes.
First: a mini update on me. I left in after WHS graduation in 1979 to attend Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Loved it, and still live in the same zip code and am on the clinical faculty of the med school. Met local boy Louis at 21, and have been together ever since.
We lived in NY during my years at NY Med, and married in 1985. Returned for residency at St. Louis Children's, and remain affiliated. Check out my private practice Rainbow Pediatrics on our website.
My daughters were born in 1993 & 1995 and keep us busy...both ...Expand for more
very athletic, like their dad (not me).
My live has been very balanced and is rather peaceful at the moment...I am almost an empty nester. Have time for my hobbies like live music (on the local House Concert scene)and geneology (collecting the stories of my Sicialian and Louis' Jewish immigrant ancestors, sharing these and photos uploaded onto Geni.com.
My brothers Joseph (WHS 81) and Andrew (WHS 88) and stepbro Jay Rubinoff (WHS 81) & wife Bari Klein (WHS 81) remain close. Dad died in 2006; Mom retired to Hilton head, SC, so I have no more relatives in Orange County. But I visit East Coast relatives at least once/yr. Perhaps again this June, for the reunion?
I always enjoy hosting visitors here in St. Louis!
