Anita's Story
If you recall me at all, you will probably remember a shy, smart girl who went about her business and didn't socialize much with anyone. That persona really changed in college as i came into myself and became involved in many activities, clubs, and organizations. I graduated from Central Missouri State University with a BS in Education in 1969 and a MS in Reading (Reading Specialist) in 74. In college at Warrensburg, I also met my husband of 46 years, and we were married in 1969, right before he shipped out to Vietnam. aught Title I Reading and Math, but decided to be a full-time mother when I moved to Warrensburg. When we moved to Cassville ten years later, I went back to teaching and have taught a total of 30 years in elementary and at the university level. At the age of 48, I went back and received my Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction and taught at University of Central Missouri, from which I retired 10 years ago. My life now is full of grandchildren, Scottish Clan activities (I am the National Deputy Chieftain), volunteering, church activities, traveling, and substitute teaching (when I have time). We finally settled down from moving so much and have lived in our current home for almost 30 years.
