Annelyse's Story
Life
After High School, I first attended Ventura Jr. College, then finished at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1979 with a degree in Landscape Design. I worked as an Irrigation Designer for several years before exploring a new career in Civil Engineering. I worked for a private Civil Engineering firm, an Architect and a Structural Engineer for a tank company before landing my present position with the City of Paso Robles. After 7 years as a Civil Engineering Tech. with the Public Works Department, I tried out a job training program in Recreation and became a Recreation Coordinator in charge of Youth Sports. A few years ago I switched over to editing the Activity Guide and marketing our many recreation programs and classes.

I published a newsletter for 5 years featuring articles by local Christian youth, and worked with the Paso Robles High School Christian club to put on a "True Love Waits" event every Valentine's Day. I was also a volunteer youth worker for my church, Berean Bible Fellowship in Atascadero. Now I teach Jr. High/Sr. High Sunday School at my current church.
In September of 2006 I retired from my job of 20 years with the City of Paso Robles,remarried, and moved to Alaska.
My hobbies include hiking, backpacking, kayaking, quilting, and scrapbooking.
Update: Wow! It's been awhile since I've been on here. I've now been in Alaska for going on 12 years, two of my kids are now married and I just got my first two grandkids this year. Life is good. To my hobbies I can add decorating and horses. 2018.
