Ann's Story
Hi everyone!
A quick run down of the last 40 years (yikes!)!
College in LA, marriage and move to St Louis, MO where my husband, Mark attended dental school and oral surgery residency, and I went to grad school for a master's in social work while working in the local family court system.
Along came 3 kids, Lauren, now 30, lives in London with her husband and 5 month old daughter. Lindsey 27, lives here in St Louis with her husband and 1 year old son. And Michael, 23, attending dental school at UOP in San Francisco.
Although, we never thought we'd stay in the midwest when we came here for school 37 years ago, St Louis has been a wonderful and fun city to live and raise a family in...plus we love the Cardinals and sometimes, the Rams! We've made lots of great friends and sometimes it's hard to remember that we lived in So Cal once upon a time. While we used to go to Riverside for visits alot while my folks were still alive,...Expand for more
I hate to say that I haven't been back for about 15 years!
I'm now "retired", but I spent about 25 years in the Social Work field, mostly working part-time, and for the 12 years before retirement, working as an Oncology Social Worker primarily serving women with breast cancer. Very challenging! Makes me feel so fortunate that I (and my family) have been so healthy all these years!
My husband, Mark and I enjoy being "empty nesters" and now have 3 dogs...to replace the kids! We love travel, and have been able to take advantage of having a daughter living abroad by visiting other cities in Europe while we're there in London.
No sure what the next part of life has in store....but I'm definitely challenged by keeping up with all the new technology out there!
I'd love to hear from old (rather "young") classmates! I don't see anything about plans for a 40th reunion---but that sure would be fun/interesting!
Peace to all! Ann
