Life
July 5, 2007
I've been out of the loop for almost three years. Retired from dentistry in 2004 when my mother started having medical problems. After things were stabilized (it actually took a bit over a year), I went back to school and, just last week, completed the Technical Writing certificate program at San Jose State Univ. It's hard to believe I've started another venture, but I can't imagine really retiring yet--probably because of coming from such a long-lived family.
Life has been centered around my mother, school, and music. My mother passed away two months ago, and school is over, so I'll be getting back to many of my usual activities. I'm looking forward to attending more FAHS reunions!
Oct. 6, 2005. Went to the FAHS 63-66 reunions in 2003 (New Orleans) and 2004 (Seattle); couldn't go this year, but definitely plan to continue going to reunions. Hope to meet up with more of you in t...Expand for more
he future. I live in San Jose, CA. Most of my activities revolve around work and music. I love attending symphony and opera (seeing/hearing the professionals). I play my bassoon in community groups: symphony, musicals, and occasional pick-up groups. Serve on the Peer Review and Ethics committees of local dental society. Outside activities are bicycling and hiking; also enjoy country-western and ballroom dancing. Do a bit of calligraphy and like to attend calligraphy exhibits and lectures. Belong to a very nice, small Episcopal church; sing in the folk choir and am involved with the senior high youth group. See my mother (in Sacramento now, but soon to move to Mill Valley in Marin County which is just north of San Francisco) 1-2x/month; my sister (also in Marin County) occasionally but talk on the phone with her frequently; my brother occasionally (has been in Colorado, but just moved to Connecticut).
