Ann's Story

My Life I never left Carter County and got married at twenty. Started my family at age thirty. My daughter, Beth Shankle-Anderson is an attorney in Tallahassee, Florida and my son, Josh is a painter and still lives with me and my cat Angel. He left for four years and worked at Dixie Stampede then decided to come back home. I lost my husband of twenty-two years to...Expand for more
cancer in 1990. I have worked full-time since high school at different jobs, typing and proofreading books at Kingsport Press to presently working with the Meals on Wheels program in eight counties. I am a Nutrition Monitor supervisor. I plan to retire at the end of 2010 and travel and get involved with non-profit organizations who is always needing volunteers.
