Ann's Story
Hello,
I live in Britain, Wales specifically. Derek,husband, is in late stage of renal failure and wished to come home to die. Me, I'm happy anywhere and always up for an adventure. My daughters met up with Derek's oldest and they got used to me and strange sense of humor. So we get along great.
We love the green, quite a change from the dry, cold, Utah. Learned to: paddle my own canoe and not fall in; knit; speak Welsh; relax and not expect things yesterday like I used to. Things I find weird: the Welsh; little or no snow; qui...Expand for more
ck weather changes, I have seen it snow, rain and bright sunny day, snow and sunny day all in an afternoon. Amazing.
We have a dog, 4 cats, a bird, a hedgehog (he visits the garden in the evening and we feed him), and 2 squirrels (which will come sit on my chair in the summer and share my food until it is gone).
I love living an hour from the ocean, it is nice to have the Breacon Beacons in my front yard. It is an amazing country.
Things I miss: thunder storms; summer (it rains a lot here), watermelon!, the fourth of July.
