Ann's Story
Life
Hi everyone. I am now married and living in Santa Fe Springs, CA with my husband Harold Wright and daughter Eva. Our son Frank lives in the back of the house. Santa Fe Springs is in the county of Los Angeles. It is wall to wall cities down here. We live close to Disneyland, Knox Berry Farm and .... I've had fun trying lots of careers. When I got a Math contract at Hollenbeck High School, I was given a remedial English class. Since I could not see a lovely calculus or any advanced mathematics class in my forseeable future I asked to be released from contract after three months. The regular teacher was able to come back at that time. I've been stopped from going some directions from my eye sight. I've now had six eye operations. The last two were just catarct ones. They are a breeze compared to any of the others. I've done everything from Bookkeeping to Drafting to Life Insurance to Realty and then a Realty Broker and am now on the waiting list to get into the Digital Medical Imaging or D.M.I. program before starting another career. D.M.I. is a fancy new term for a radiologist. I have a BA in Mathematics. I still tutor Math. I am still a fully operational Real Estate Broker. end's home in escrow right now. We love: 1. camping out and rainbow trout fishing in the high Sierra's [however, we use a trailer now instead of a tent most of the time], 2. music [I still play the baritone, though not as much as I used to], 3. family history [I volunteered for over twenty years at a family history center]. 4. ham radio [I'm an amateur extra now. We are into ham radio. I am KF6UEA and Harold is KF6ZQQ. Check out qrz.com for a bit about ham radio], 5. astronomy [we've got 4 telescopes & 2 binoculars], and 6. church. We have property in Oroville WA but don't know if we'll ever move there. If anyone knows of a good place to live where the stars are bright and readily seen (a very dark sky needed to see nebulas), and where there are good full-time job opportunitites available tell me. Maybe when we sell or rent our home about 2018, we can reitre some place where we can see the stars and I can fish for my rainbow trout. I miss the lake. An ocean just isn't the same. However, water pictues and screen savers with sound helps. Hope to hear from you. I went to the last reunion, but didn't see a lot of you. Ask my brother Bill Plaskett for my address or e-mail address if you are ever back home in Osoyoos. Classmates always hides them from view. Hope to hear from you. Ann.
