Ann's Story

Life After graduating, I took off for Tulsa where I went to college to become an English teacher. (Thanks for the inspiration, Mr. Battaglia!) I got sidetracked by Mark, my husband, who was living in Minneapolis....I spent a year up there going to a different college (same major), we got engaged, married, and then we moved back down to Tulsa so I could finish school. When I had taught one year there, Mark applied to grad school in California and was accepted; we moved to Pasadena where he completed a PHD in psychology. I taught school and made BIG BUCKS (yah, right). California was the best! ...Expand for more
We loved it! We then spent two years in Salt Lake City for Mark's internship, and then moved to western Wisconsin to be near family and finally quit moving around. I taught school for one year and then had Ava, our six year old, at which point I stayed home. We also have Evon who is four and a HOOT. Boys. Who knew! I continue to stay home and Mark works as a clinical psychologist here in Eau Claire. We're not getting rich (nasty student loans!), but life is good and we're all very happy. It's darned cold here in Wisconsin, but the cheese is good and the people are friendly. Enough! Bye bye.
