Ann's Story
Graduated DCS. Went to Albany State but got married at 19. Quit school, moved to Cleveland OH, had 2 baby boys. Moved to Bedford KY right across river from Cinci, OH. Got to go to last Reds game ever played at Crosley Flield, then got to go to both first Reds and Bengals games played at Riverfront Stadium (now gone). Had a baby girl. That's 3 kids in 4 yrs. by the way. Ugh! Moved to Beaver Falls NY way up north. Got dirorced, remarried, inherited 2 stepsons. Went to Mohawk Valley Comm. College to learn medical technology. Worked for private dr. for a few weeks & then went to Griffiss AFB base hospital as secretary, then got promoted to 485th Engineering Installation group. After 4 yrs. got a job with the State and worked for the Div. of Parole until retirement in July 2000 due to disability = h...Expand for more
ad a car accident which left permanent problems with my neck, also had lots of arthritis, etc., etc., etc. Sadly, I had lost my second son in a MVA in Cali.,(he was a Capt. in USMC-career man), That was Aug. 207, then Dad, then my husband in June of 2008. Also lost other beloved relatives in a very short time, Many of you remember my bro. Jimmy, and I lost him 2 yrs. ago Dec. and the last 6 yrs. have been rough, but I'm starting to feel like me again, finally. I'm living in a Seniors Apt. complex in Utica and they keep us really busy with all kinds of entertainment Have 6 grandchildren (some are "steps") & 3 greatgrandcildren(all "ateps) with no. 4 due the end of May. They all keep me busy! Am enjoying my many years of retirement. Always did like to do nothing better than anything else. :LOL
