Ann's Story
Life
There is too much to catch up on, but in a nutshell........
I had two children from my marriage to Eldon Engle. Dawn (41) who has two boys and is married and living in Sidney. Kevin (36) who has a boy and a girl and is married and living in Colorado Springs.
I myself remarried in May of 2004 to Gary Myers from Marion, Ohio. We live in an RV motorhome full time. We spend the summer months at Indian Lake in Lakeside RV Park in Lakeview. We spend the winter months at in Jamar Park in Port Richey Fl. Love it so far.
College
I began classes at Franklin University in Columbus Ohio when I was 32. I graduated when I was 39 with a B. S. degree with Business Administration as my major. I was working full time and raising my two kids while getting my degree, so it wasn't easy, but worth it to get the satisfaction that I had earned a degree. I lived in Columbus from 1973 thru 1984.
Workplace
As you all know, or perhaps don't remember, I worked at the Hokey Pokey thru high school in the summers.
My first job after that was at Wheeler's IGA.
Then marriage and the Air Force took us to Homestead Fla where I worked in the BX for a couple years until I had my Dawn, at which time he was sent to Viet Nam and I moved back to Sidney for the year and wo...Expand for more

His return from Viet Nam took us to Columbus in 1965 and I worked at American Standard as a billing clerk. Until the Air Force sent us to West Berlin Germany for three years. I didn't work the first year there, then went to work at the Harnack House, which was the officer's club for Berlin Brigade, as a catering clerk. After a year there I went to work at the Berlin American High School as an attendance clerk.
Upon returning to the States I moved to Columbus (alone with my kids) and went to work at Lennox Industries as a credit clerk. After a year and a half there I went to work at General Electric Specialty Materials plant (they made industrial diamonds) as a Business Analysis Clerk. While working there I obtained my degree and the last five years there worked as a systems analyst/programmer.
Getting bored with that, I went to work for Encyclodpaedia Britannica as a Manager/Trainer/Sales person. That job took me to live many places - Grand Rapids Mich, Little Rock Ark, San Diego CA, Los Angeles CA. Working for them I injured my back in 1987 and after sporadic surgeries and working, in 1990 they retired me on disability. And I have been retired ever since. And except for the pain, I have enjoyed retirement immensely.
