Anna's Story
Life
I have 7 children, youngest is now 15 years old and ending his sophomore year--the others are grown up--I also have 5 grandchildren. I have lived in Elkton MD for the last 14 years but moved last year to Cinnaminson, NJ. Before that I lived in Hockessin DE and before that I lived in Texas--before that--ask me..
I have been through a divorce and am now married to a man who was born in Puerto Rico but lived most of his life in New York City until he enlisted in the Marines and served in Vietnam.
Over the years I have enjoyed raising my kids and now the youngest is in High School--I am facing empty nest syndrome and not looking forward to it as my kids have been my biggest joy.
College
I started college at age 40--my major was in visual communications with an emphasis on photography and digital imaging. I had to quit to support my family after a divorce but hope to be able to get back to it someday. I still take my camera everywhere. I have had some of my photos published and one portrait hung for a while in the Library of Congress. I still submit photos to contests at every opportunity. Most of the time I take pics of my family--see my profile on facebook under Phairelady to see more of my photos. (you may need to have a facebook and add me as a friend to see it) Perhaps I will have a website someday to show my best...Expand for more
photos. Paul and I hope to travel a great deal in the future and I will enjoy using my camera on our trips.
Workplace
I have worked for various Nationwide agents over the last 5 years. Since my move to NJ, I am taking the opportunity to get out of the property and casualty business-- which I found to be infinitely boring. I am currently looking for work--I think I will be working soon for GNC as I used to be a store manager for GNC some years ago and enjoy the world of herbs, vitamins, sports nutrition and natural wellness. I have worked in the past at a gym as a trainer as well and enjoy working out with weights. I am also researching starting my own design business as I have sewn since I was 13 and still love it.
Military
I have not served, but have been married to 2 veterans and two of my sons served in the Army. My son Spencer was in the Army Color Guard so was stationed in DC the whole time as their emphasis was to escort dignitaries (he once escorted Cheney for speech) and escort funerals for people being buried in the Arlington National Cemetery. He was one of the soldiers in the regiment that accompanied President Reagan's funeral. He is now out of the Army and his wife is now in the Army and stationed in MD. Chris, my 6th child, is now in the Army and just now out of AIT and will be going to Korea for a year.
