Anne's Story
Life
After graduating from St Andrews, I went to PCC and graduated from Long Beach State. I spend a semester as an exchange student in Liberia, W. Africa, this started my love for travel. Since, I was an active Girl Scout even into college, the exchange was sponsored by the Girl Scouts and when I graduated I became a Field Director with the coucil. That was exciting enough so I left, and joined the Peace Corps.
I was sent to Accra, Ghana where I taught school and then transferred to Kenya where I worked with the Social services. After Africa I went to Sri Lanka where I worked for CARE, Inc a relief organization. I met my husba...Expand for more
nd there and we have been married since 1978. I have one son born in 1981, Patrick. After I returned to the US, I took a job with TWA and worked with them for 25 years until they were purchased by American Airlines. I took an early retirement from AA to take care of my Mom for 7 years, she passed away in 2012. While with the airlines, I was able to travel all over the world and still enjoy traveling.
I now live in Orlando Fl, hopefully not forever. In fact my son and his wife are having my first grandchild, finally five years of marriage so I'll be moving back to Calif very soon.
Besides traveling I enjoy genealogy research.
