Anne's Story
I have spent 35 years as an educator, the last 15 as Gifted/Talented Coordinator for a local school district...married for 44 years, 3 grown children, 1 grandchild. My family and I have spent several years living and working in Austria and Norway. My own writing ranges from German books and curriculum for children to short stories to recent research and presentations on the indigenous Sami people of northern Norway, sponsored through two grants from the Lilly Foundation.

I am married with three adopted children, two of whom are still living. I live in Valparaiso, Indiana with husband Roy, who has been Provost of Valparaiso University for 18 years and who teaches European History. We travel frequently to Norway, and have spent several years living in Austria, including a year there when the children were young.
My senior year at RB was the only chance I had to become friends with students there, and my special greetings go out to Diane Rader and Jeannie Mendius...they were so kind to me during a very difficult year when I was an "outsider" from a "city school"!!
I always wanted to be an artist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a foolish idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
