College
I recieve an Associate in Nursing Science from this school. It is a long distance program for LPN's. I was able to complete all my work here in Baton Rouge.
Workplace
I am a Family Nurse Practitioner. I work in an Internal Medicine and Hospital Medicine program. I am also a Family Nurse Practitioner and moonlight in the Emergency Room at Summit Hospital every other weekend. My physician colleague is Dr. James S. n. We treat Internal Medicine patients also. Pain management, Diabetes, High blood pressure, etc. We also treat alot of depression and anxiety and some other mental health disorders because there simply are not enough psychiatrists to go around. I also admit,follow and discharge patients from hospital medicine at Summit Hospital as well as provide medical care for patients in the ICU and Emergency Dept. Nursing has always been my first love and being a Nurse Practitioner has been the best job I have ever had. I love my job and at the end of the day I know I have made a difference.
