Anne's Story
My life turned out to be about adventure and moving around. I graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a degree in Italian, started grad school at Middlebury but switched to the U. of British Columbia. Hitchhiking home the first summer, I stopped in Montana, met Bob Kolesar, and never left. I became an outdoorswoman and skier, journalist, traveling salesperson, massage therapist, and eventually a mother. I did finish a masters in Italian, and another in Counseling, but I never settled into a career, as such. I was too independent to stay married, but Bob is still a friend. I introduced him to his current wife and attended their wedding.
In 1995 I moved to Eugene, OR and spent 5 years there. Then, in 2000, I moved back East to be closer to my parents. Not TOO close, though... Staten Island had changed and didn't feel like home to me. I moved to Western PA.

ving skipped his senior year of h.s. I had always planned to go back to Montana, where I'd kept a little house all those years, but I didn't want to be so far from my son. Instead, I married an interesting man in Indiana, PA and tried to fit in there.
Still independent, I wasn't a traditional wife. I lived in my own house and eventually got a second home in Pittsburgh. I moved to Pittsburgh full time in 2016. Husband #2, from whom I am now divorced, remains my best friend and financial partner.
Right now, just for fun, I do part-time work with intellectually disabled adults. I volunteer at the local library and I run a Meetup group with 360 members. My next big adventure began a few months ago when I bought what I'm calling Full Moon/LOL (Little Old Lady) Farm in Chautauqua County, NY. It has fields and woods and a pond to swim in, and I expect to spend a lot of time there in the next few years.
