Anne's Story

Where have the years gone? So much has happened in my life I don't know where to start. After graduation from High School I remained in Ohio until 1983 when I moved to San Antonio, TX. I lived there for 10 years and then moved to the Berkshire Mountains where I lived and worked for 2 years with people who were chronically, mentally ill, mostly bi-polar and schizophrenic. I was there as a Volunteer in Mission for the Presbyterian Church (USA). It was a totally awesome experience, and from there I went back to school, starting classes at Bangor Theological Seminary in Bangor, Maine. I was there about two years, loved it, so beautiful there, then I transferred to Dubuque Theological Seminary in Iowa and got my Masters of Divinity Degree in 2000. I wen...Expand for more
t back to San Antonio and took a position as a hospital chaplain, another totally awesome experience. Then in 2003 I accepted a position as a parish pastor in very rural South Dakota where I am currently. I have had a great life, oh, forgot to mention I did my seminary internship in Idaho where I served a church for one year. I don't think anybody could ask for more than I have experienced, for me it has been the best. It is hard to believe that 45 years have passed since high school graduation. I don't get back to Ohio much anymore, though my folks are buried outside of Kirtland so I do try to get to the cemetery every couple of years. No kids, no husband, but I have 3 nieces, 1 great niece, and 4 great nephews. Would love to hear from others....
