Anne's Story
After HS I continued on to SRJC. There I received my AA Degree and a Certificate in Fine Arts. I started Sonoma State in '93 and graduated in '95, where I got a BA in Fine Arts, with my emphasis in Drawing. My minor was Museum Studies. I had interned & volunteered at the So. Co. Museum before my son was born, that was lots of fun!
All during college I had been working at Kmart. I started working at "Came Apart" fall of '88 and stayed with the RP store until it closed in '95. I could have moved on, but I transferred to the Petaluma store instead and worked there until summer of '00. I moved to Sacramento that summer for a few months to follow love (and actually worked at a Kmart there for a month). I was with Kmart for a total of 12 years!!!
In 2000 my son was 3 and it was too hard with the commute and joint custody to stay in Sacramento. I moved back to...Expand for more
RP and took a job at Neuerburg's Garment Lettering. I now set-up all our customer's art for our garment printer machines. I sometimes get to recreate logos and do designs for events. We print t's and sweats, and we also embroider logos on shirts, hats, jackets, etc. all in house. I'm in my 8th year there!
I was married from 1994 - 1999 to someone I met at the RP Kmart. The "love" I mentioned earlier that I followed to Sacramento, was also someone I worked with at the Pet. Kmart (Hmm...Do you see a pattern here?). That ended in 2004. I am back in the dating scene once again...well I have been for a while now...so I'll see what happens. Just to curb your curiosity: there are all girls at Neuerburg's, and I don't plan on dating anyone of them! The owner is male, but he is like a father to me. It has been a great place to work! Very family orientated and fun!
