Anne's Story
Moved to Central Florida in 1972. Completed college: a B.A. in education from University of South Florida in Tampa; and a M.S. in Consumer Economics from Florida State University in Tallahassee. Had several interesting jobs, some private, but mostly state government. Have worked in a program that developed jobs for government entitites using grant funds. Been self employed, such an education to work for one's self, in retail. Worked for University of Florida, Cooperative Extension Services, as a 4-H Agent, and then a Home Economist. m. Then worked for Department of Corrections. Was a Classification Officer at Hernando Correctional Institution. (I supervised 150 men, who had to do what I said, when I said it. Such power!) Then still with the same agency, worked as a Probation Officer, doing supervision of offenders in the community. Took an opportunity for early retirement. Yeah!!! Now I have little money, but time to do the things I want. Plan to do some sewing, and research the family history.
